I did a career day at Western elementary in LA last friday, and the kids were awesome.. I brought a light, a camera, and my computer and took photos of a couple kids and showed them how to put them on the computer. When it came to question and answer time, they wanted to know 3 things, have i ever met Tony Hawk, had i ever met 50 Cent, and had i ever met Green Day. Also they wanted to know why i liked photography. which is hard to describe to 2nd and 4th graders. And i found out that 4th graders know what girl on girl means.. which is wierd. i have a photo of two people kissing in the background and one of the kids yelled out ... "aaahh, lesbians!! gross.. then one of the other kids explained, no he wouldn't take pictures of girl on girl"
Funny... well here are a couple of the thank you notes, and a couple of the funnier photos of the kids... Somehow on the front cover of the thank yous, i became a black dracula photographer, which until this point i didn't want to reveal. but kids can see through a facade so easily...
